Ingredients
- 1½ lb salmon filet
- 1–2 tbsp all-purpose seasoning mix (or ~1 tsp coarse kosher salt + onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika)
- ¼ cup mayo
- 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- Chili crisp, for topping
- Cooked rice, for serving
Avocado Cucumber Salsa
- 1 avocado, diced
- ½ cucumber, diced
- Handful of chopped cilantro
- Squeeze of lime juice · pinch of salt · 1 tbsp honey
Steps
- Prep the salmon: Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut the salmon into individual portions if you like. Pat dry, coat with the seasoning mix, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Make the Bang Bang sauce: Mix mayo, sweet chili sauce, garlic, and soy sauce in a small bowl. Set half aside for after baking.
- Bake the salmon: Spread a small spoonful of sauce over each piece. Bake 10 minutes toward the top of the oven, then broil 2–3 minutes, until golden brown and a bit caramelized on top.
- Make the salsa: Toss avocado, cucumber, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and honey in a small bowl.
- Serve: Serve salmon over rice with the salsa, the reserved bang bang sauce, and chili crisp drizzled over top.
